    Smell of Apples

Verse:
 The first dew of
           the morning
Smell of apples in the air
But no one gave me warning
  That I might  not find
                 you there.

Chorus:
Light of day don’t  seem so bright.
  My memories obscure my sight.
My heart can’t confront the night
  without you....without you....without  you.

Verse:
A train waits at the station.
You’ve paid the passage for the ride.
 You’ll pick a destination
and find a perfect place to hide.

Chorus:
But the smiles in the city don’t seem so bright
It’s hard to feel pretty in
   your dress of white.
Somethin’ about your dreams ain’t right.
  Without me....without me....without  me.

Verse:
The first dew of the morning,
the smell of apples in the air
 You  came back without warning.
It felt so good to find you there.

Chorus:
The light of day is all we’ve got.
You think you’re lost,  then find you’re not.
And love’s  a lesson  to be had
  I’m so glad....I’m so glad....I’m so glad.
