          RAIN

 I’m  sittin’  in  this  room;
        I  can  still  smell  your  perfume.
 And  the  rain  keeps  washin’ on  my  window.

 I can’t  seem  to  raise  this  gloom,
       though  it’s  half  past  noon.
  And  the  rain  keeps  washin’   on  my  window.

 I  let  my  pride  take  the  best  of  me.
       Broken  heart  is  all  that‘s  left  of  me.
 And  still, the  rain  keeps  washin’   on  my  window.

rain, rain, rain
rain, rain, rain
rain, rain, rain
Washin’ on my window

 We’ve  got  things  that  we  can’t  say;
        feelin’s  can’t  take  the  light  of  day.
And  the  rain  keeps  washin’  on  my  window.

Baby,  I  can  still  hear  your  cries, but  don’t  you  realize.
That  the  rain  keeps  washin’  on  your  window.

rain, rain, rain
rain, rain, rain
rain, rain, rain
Washin’  on  my window

So baby,  won’t  you  give  us  a  little  time;
      we’ve  got  our lives  to  redefine.
With  little  bit  of  effort we   can  cross  that  line.
 We’ve already  spent  too  much  cryin’....

We’ve faded like old blue jeans, so bring it back to me.
And let  the  rain    wash  over  your  window.

Honey, I  can  still  see  the  lightl;
 it’s  clear  and  sure  is  bright.
Like  the  rain  that’s  washin’  on  your  window.

rain, rain, rain
rain, rain, rain
rain, rain, rain
Washin’ down my window

( repeat)
