 My Country Rocks

Well there's a lot of people in
       this world today.
They got a lot to say about
        this U.S of A.
  We ain't perfect; hell! this
         ain't no perfect world.
  Better check your sins 'for
          that stone gets hurled.

   My country rocks!
   My country rocks!
   My country rocks!  repeats.

Yeah, there's a lot of people
       pointin' the finger at us.
They wouldn't even know us if
they saw us on the bus.
I know politics can turn some good men bad,
But we got a voice and we use it when we're mad.

   My country rocks!
   My country rocks!
   My country rocks!  repeats.

Well, I've worked my whole damn life for this country's ideal.
It ain't nothin' I'm goin' let another man steal.
It's the land of the free with a home for the brave,
You might want my blood, son; but I've already gave!

   My country rocks!
   My country rocks!
   My country rocks!  repeats.

     Intrumental:

Now some say we're a babe as country's tend to go.
We got the same kind of problems young families come to know.
Try to blame us for the things they can't confront.
Say we should have passed when we knew we had to punt.

   My country rocks!
   My country rocks!
   My country rocks!  repeats.

Well, I've worked my whole damn life for this country's idealsP.
And it ain't nothin' I'm goin' let another man steal.
It's the land of the free with a home for the brave,
You might want my blood, son; but I've already gave!

   My country rocks!
   My country rocks!
   My country rocks!  repeats.
